State historic-cultural reserve museum “Moscow Kremlin” was founded in 1991 on the base of State museums of Moscow Kremlin.
It is located in downtown of Moscow, on territory of Moscow Kremlin- one of the largest architectural complexes in the world, containing historic buildings and monuments built from XV till XX centuries. Historically, Moscow Kremlin was the residence of the power, and nowadays is the residence of the Russian president.
It is unique museum complex, including museums-cathedrals: Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral of the Archangel, Church of the Deposition of the Robe, Patriarch’s Palace of XVII century with the Church of Twelve Apostils, Ivan the Great Bell Tower, and State Armory.
In the Cathedral of the Annunciation, archeological materials of the Kremlin are presented.
Kremlin Museums preserve unique works of different genres of art, which give an idea about formal ceremonies in courts of high society and ecclesiastics.
The buildings in which museums are located are unique architectural constructions representing different art schools and ages, and built by famous architects. The interiors of museums are from XVI-XVII till the middle of XIX century.
