Changing of the foot and cavalry guards of the President’s Regiment. Pictures of 2007. Parade in Kremlin.
This amazing show, which is called “Ceremonial changing of foot and cavalry guards of the President’s Regiment”, is a joint creation of military of the Kremlin Regiment, President’s orchestra, and Moscow Committee of Tourism.
Ceremonial changing is a new program, which absorbed experience of Russian army’s formal goose marsh of many centuries.
Similar formal ceremonies were taking place before the times of Peter the Great. Holiday uniform of the participating guards was developed with the order of Nikolai II for celebration of 100 anniversary of victory in the Patriotic War of 1812.
Accordingly to many specialists, the ceremonial program demonstrated by President’s Regiment is the most difficult among all similar ceremonial programs in the world. The elite soldiers had a chance to show it on the festival “Russian Winter” in London and on international competition of the military guards in Sparrow Hills of Moscow.
Pictures are taken with the camera Nikon D80, with resolution 300dpi (10 megapixles).
